Pre-Rolled Cones: Sizes and Which to Buy
Quick answer: A pre-rolled cone is paper already shaped and tipped, so you only fill and close it. Buy 1 1/4 for solo sessions and king size for sharing. Expect roughly 0.5–0.75g in a 1 1/4 cone and about 1g in a king size, depending on the brand and how tight you pack.

Fill amounts are rough and depend on grind and packing. Brands don't name sizes the same way, so go by the length on the pack.
Paper or banana leaf
- Paper cones come in the same materials as papers: hemp, rice or wood pulp, bleached or unbleached. Light, cheap, easy to find.

How to fill a cone
- Grind medium. Too fine packs into a brick and won't draw; too coarse leaves gaps.
- Fill a little at a time.
- Tap the tip end on the table to settle it.
- Pack lightly with a packing stick or pen.
- Leave a few millimeters of empty paper at the top.
- Twist the top closed.
